The zinc-plated finish provides reliable corrosion protection for general industrial, construction, and outdoor applications. The forged construction ensures high load-bearing capacity with a minimum safety factor of 6:1 (working load limit is one-sixth of the minimum breaking load), making these products suitable for lifting and transport tasks in machinery, construction, logistics, and material handling.

C15E steel is a case-hardening carbon steel specifically selected for lifting applications due to its excellent combination of strength, toughness, and ductility. The drop-forging process ensures a continuous grain flow that follows the contour of the eye, optimizing load distribution and fatigue resistance. DIN 580 eye bolts are suitable for use at temperatures ranging from −20°C to +200°C without a reduction in lifting capacity.
Zinc plating provides sacrificial (cathodic) protection to the underlying steel. The zinc coating corrodes preferentially, protecting the steel substrate from rust. The standard blue-passivated (A2K) finish offers good corrosion protection for indoor and general industrial applications.
